AbilityFirst Helps Children with CP

AbilityFirst is an organization that focuses on helping children with autism, Down syndrome and cerebral palsy.

In March, employees and supports of the organization are going to gather at Exposition Park in Los Angeles to take part in a 5K Walk that will help those with these disabilities and raise money for the organization.

Organization Raises Money for a Good Cause

Team members who participate in the marathon and their sponsors work together to raise money on the AbilityFirst website.

Thousands of children are born with cerebral palsy yearly due to complications during child birth or pregnancy.

Organizations like AbilityFirst are dedicated to helping these children with cerebral palsy and their families cope with the disability and live their lives to the fullest potential.

The AbilityFirst Marathon is a time when the families and friends of children who are living with a disability such as cerebral palsy can connect and lend their support for a good cause.

“Giving back is more than writing a check. It is about dedicating time to make a difference,” says Mike Dokmanovich, the vice president of Comerica Bank, one of the sponsors of the marathon.
