Carousel Ranch, in Santa Clarita Valley, provides a camp like atmosphere catered towards children living with disabilities.

The ranch helps kids with cerebral palsy and other disabilities live more fulfilling lives by providing developmental therapeutic and recreational programs using horses.

Gymnastics and Horse Riding

The unique program at Carousel Ranch reportedly combines vaulting and therapeutically directed riding.

This unique system is said to help the children with cerebral palsy build strength, enhance motor skills, and boost their self-confidence.

Workers from the ranch claim that the movement in horse riding can cause an inherent response from the child, which can increasing and tone their muscles build their balance and relax muscles that are tight.

By working the muscles through horse riding, kids are better able to sit, stand and walk on a daily basis.

Special Days at the Ranch

The community developers, Lennar and Pardee Homes, have worked hard to make every visit to the ranch unique and special for the children.

On Make a Difference Day, Lennar employees decorate the ranch to create a western motif.

For the Christmas party, the kids are enabled to play in the manmade snow, talk to Santa, and socialize with friends.
