Neuro-Cognitive Therapy Introduced for CP

Snowdrop Child Development Consultants has developed a revolutionary treatment for children who have cerebral palsy and other disabilities.

The treatment is given to families with disabled children in the form of a program, which can be implemented at home for an extended period of time.

New Therapy Introduced

This new therapy for cerebral palsy, known as Neuro-cognitive therapy is a program that focuses on the fact that children with disabilities often have problems with their sensory perception.

The program also takes into account that learning and exercising a child’s mental capabilities can lead to progression in their development.

According to the program, if information is presented at the correct level and in the correct way, then children are enabled to learn.

Creator of the Program

Andrew Brereton reportedly created the program after his son was born with cerebral palsy.

When his son passed away at a young age from a stroke, Andrew was motivated to become educated on the subjects of child development and cognitive psychology.

Andrew grew more disgruntled with health care physicians and therapists who weren’t properly treated children with disabilities as he became more knowledgeable on the topics.

From his frustrated he came up with the notion of neuro-cognitive therapy.

Brereton stood strong behind his creation since it gives families control and allows them to educate themselves for their child’s sake.
